Your Tastes Are Yours. I Have To Shut Up!
As a Lindenhurst NY Real Estate Agent, I can't tell a buyer my personal opinion about what I like or do not like when showing homes. Sometimes a buyer will ask me my personal opinion and I tell them I can't because it's your money, not mine. We have different tastes.
A few months ago, I was showing homes to a buyer. We walk into this really nice home. It had large rooms, beautiful wood floors, spacious bedrooms, a double fireplace and on each side of the fireplace, it has these custom built-ins that resemble china cabinets. Very beautiful!
The buyers stated that they would remove those cabinets. I could see the homeowner cringe because I know they spent a lot of money on them. I had the same feeling inside.
We all have different styles and tastes. I just have to take a backseat and..........SHUT UP because it's not my money I'm spending.
