Suffolk County NY Real Estate Market Report - June 2011
From the first quarter of 2007 to the first quarter of 2011, the Suffolk County real estate market median sold prices decreased 22.37%.
Since the first quarter of 2009, median sold prices are starting to stabilize. A very good sign!
Quarterly Real Estate Sales History for Suffolk County
Take a look at the foreclosure history for Suffolk County. Foreclosure sales spike up to 442 in the first quarter of 2010. Then took a nose dive at the end of 2010. The foreclosure market as of now is becoming less. So far for 2011, there have been 1 foreclosure sale.
What do these number mean? Truthfully, I'm not sure. We do not know how many short sales that are currently on the market that will end up in foreclosure. We also do not know how many foreclosures are waiting to come onto the market. Time will tell.
I will have these charts updated every quarter so make sure to come back! Or, you can email me today and I will sign you up to receive quarterly market reports for Suffolk County and/or your hometown. Until then, be well.
