Is It Really Spring On Long Island?
I woke up this morning literally freezing. The wind is blowing and my thermostat is saying 63 degrees in the house. I refuse to turn the heat on during the day today. I don't feel like contributing to National Grid's profits. I'm working from home so on goes the thick, warm robe and slippers, lol.
Doesn't feel like Spring in any way, shape or form. Maybe this will make us appreciate Spring when it finally arrives. All I know is that today's weather beats out Winter any day! The older I get, the less of Winter I can tolerate.
Seeing the pretty flowers and trees blooming makes up for it. We all know that Spring will be here and gone before we know it and then we get to complain about hot the Summer is. I can deal with the heat of the Summer. There is always air conditioning, the pool and beach to cool us off.
Enjoy it all while it lasts because Old Man Winter will rear his ugly head before we know it!
