Just When You Think You've Heard It All.......
Had a conversation today with an agent that was doing an open house two homes down from mine. It was slow for him so he stopped by and we were talking outside.
We started talking about short sales and how homeowners are angry when they lose their home. You can't blame them. I would be too.
Then he said he is in a deal right now with a short sale that is about to close. He is the buyer's agent. He tells me that the homeowners are taking all the appliances, window treatments and....................................
Can you guess where I'm going with this? Uh-huh. They are taking the deck! I damned near peed my pants from laughing so hard thinking he was kidding. He wasn't.
No one really knows how they are taking it so here were my thoughts:
Backpacking it with 1000 friends.
Wheelbarrow. Again, maybe with 500 friends since wheelbarrows are bigger than backpacks!
Flatbed it with a wide-load sign on the back.
He tells me the deck is huge. I can't imagine anyone taking their deck with them. Obviously they are going to disassemble it. Where are they going to store it? Your guess is good as mine!
