Long Island Earthquake 11/30/10 @ 10:45 A.M.
This earthquake in Suffolk County was a magnitude of 3.9 and located 120 miles south-southeast of East Hampton.
I felt nothing. Some felt it as far away in Baldwin which is in Nassau County. I heard about it from a link on my Facebook from Channel 12 News.
I live in West Babylon and someone in Babylon felt it. Seems to me that those that felt the quake, live on or very near the water with the exception of a few towns that aren't.
I think reality has sunk in knowing that Long Island can have earthquakes.
Imagine if a larger one hit Long Island?
I researched about what to do during an earthquake and am going to talk about it with my son today.
