Skateboard Parks On Long Island
Researching skateboard parks on Long Island brought back memories! As a kid, we all used to build our own ramps. Big ramps too! Scary stuff now that I'm looking back. No wonder why my Mom aged quickly, lol. Sorry about that Mom.
There aren't many skateboard parks on Long Island but the locations seem to make it convenient for all:
Baldwin Skate Park
This park is publicly owned and opened in 2002. ID and protective wear is a must. Their website also says to provide proof of residency.
Greenport Skate Park
Free public outdoor skate park. Located on Moores Lane in Greenport.
Huntington Skate Park
Publicly owned park. Residents and non-residents. Non-residents pay more: $5 per session. Residents pay $40 per season. Non-residents pay $80 per season and $10 per session. Call for more information: 631-351-3089
Inline1 Sports Center
This is an outdoor park and open 7 days a week weather permitting. It is also open after dark.
Oil City Skatepark
Looks like this is the only indoor skate park on Long Island.
Gotta put my Mom pants on. Please wear protective helmets, wrist, elbow and knee guards at all times!
