Brady Park In Massapequa Park NY: Simply Gorgeous!

Brady Park In Massapequa Park NY: Simply Gorgeous!

Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE FALL! The mix of colors on the trees can be breathtaking! Also, my husband is a member of the Massapequa Road Runners Club and a bunch of them go running in Brady Park both days on the weekends. Unless, of course, they have races to run.

Last Saturday, hubby and I went to Brady Park which is located just north of Sunrise Highway in Masspapequa Park, NY. Of course I had my camera with me!:

It was a beautiful, clear day out and perfect for taking photos! I am hoping next weekend will be just as nice since Long Island is not at peak yet when it comes to the colors of Fall.

The geese here will approach you so you have to be really careful! They assume you have food. In most parks, geese won't come near you so don't assume these guys are friendly.

This spot in Brady Park is about .5 of a mile from the entrance. No one was around and it was so peaceful!

The colors are not as brilliant as they should be by this weekend. Doesn't matter. Brady Park is beautful! This lake is large. You can even go fishing for Sun Fish and fresh water Bass. I'm hoping to try it this weekend if I do not have to work.

I loved how the rocks formed themselves here. A nice trail and perfectly situated for a photo!

I was sneaking over because I saw this Swan and wanted a great photo. When she saw me, she swam right over to me. I backed up because Swans can be very nasty. I noticed her left leg was on her side so she must have been injured in some way. I'm also sure she was looking for food. I felt bad we didn't have any bread with us.

The trail is 6 miles long from beginning to end. You can run, walk or bike. We saw a lot of bikers that day. The trail extends up to Bethpage State Park where the U.S. Open has been held in previous years.

I felt so relaxed after walking around Brady Park last weekend. Will have to go again soon. Get out there and enjoy this nice weather everyone while we can!
