Lindenhurst NY Real Estate Century 21 AA Realty: A Montauk Vacation That Is Needed

A Montauk Vacation That Is Needed

A Montauk Vacation That Is Needed

So here we are, in Montauk Point, NY. From us it's about 80 miles East of West Babylon. I've taken pictures here and there but will take more as the week goes on.

You sometimes do not realize how much you need a vacation until you get one. We are staying at the Ocean Beach Resort that has a pool with a retractable roof. If it's raining, you can still swim. We have an ocean front room and at night it's very peaceful hearing the waves. Last night we lit a fire on the beach just like many others did. I was able to take pictures of that also. We went around town yesterday looking for those free vacation magazines to start our fire.

Right now, my son and his step-father rode their bikes to Gossman's Dock to get ice cream. They call it the ice cream bike ride.

As we were driving out here yesterday, Bank of America called me to find out if my short sale deal is dead. Huh? Dead? Why do you think that? "The documents are not there". Huh? Oh, this is all I needed! They are in the process of figuring out why they can't see anything uploaded and I can. At least they have been nice and cooperative for the last 3 months since we had a decent offer. The buyer has been patience as a Saint!

That's it for now. When I get back, I will do a post about Montauk and yes, there will be pictues.

Have a great week everyone!

I just came back from a week's vacation on a cruise to Alaska. I wanted to post some photos, but internet access from the phone was not an option. Let's just say there was a lot of natural beauty and relaxation going on.

Go figure! There is a Montauk in Missouri as well, but it's a huge and beautiful state park. ;)

Sometimes you can never get away from work. Try at least to change your voicemail and tell them to wait till you return. Then sit back and burry your cell phone in the sand!! Enjoy your time off. Ellen

Hi Vickie, I'm glad you had a great vacation! Alaska is beyond beautiful!

Hi Kathryn, Thank you. We are heading out now to eat so I'll be taking more photos :)

Hi Phly, Most of the land in Montauk is stated owned. That is why there is not a lot of available land here to build on. That helps to keep property values higher than a lot of areas on Long Island.

Hi Ellen, I got your voicemail :) With a short sale, it's impossible to get away from it. At least I'm not too far and have Internet access. I did some work on it earlier today just to get it out of the way. We are having a good time and it's so needed. I very rarely take a full day off and I'm realizing now that I need to do that more often. I will call you :)

Enjoy your vacation Jackie. Montauk is a beautiful place. I used to take a week off and ride my bike from Northport to Montauk every summer. Looking forward to those pictures.

Hi Leesa, thank you! We are having fun!

Hi Barbara, it's a different world in Montauk/East End. People are so relaxed and when you cross the street, the drivers stop to let you cross.

Hi Craig, now that sounds like a great time! I will have pics towards the weekend since I'm not done yet. Goin' fishin' tomorrow!

Hi Amy, We are having a great time. Wherever you are going, I"m sure you will have a wonderful time!

Hi Laura, There is so much to do out here. I've been coming here since I'm little. Nice to hear the ocean at night.

Hi Marchel, I am sure you can't wait. I couldn't wait either.

Jackie  I believe Montauk is where David Sarnoff picked up the signal from the Lusitania when it was sunk by the Germans and got the US into World War One.  He later went on to found RCA
