Direct Postcard Mailing Works!
Direct postcard mailings do work only if you are consistent. I got the following listing because of it:

The listing was a 1 bedroom coop unit in West Babylon NY. Sold it in 72 days. If I didn't send postcard mailings there every other month, this homeowner wouldn't have known I existed even though I used to live there and moved out 4 years ago. He had no idea I was in real estate until he received one of my postcard mailings. And, he also hired me to help him buy a new home.
It costs me $50.00 per mailing six times per year. That is $300.00 per year and it more than pays for itself with just one listing received and sold.
I know some say direct postcard mailings do not work. Do you do it consistently? If you answer no, then that is why it doesn't work. It didn't "kick in" for me right away but it did three months later.
Here is the postcard I used:

So, be consistent and it will work if you want it to!

Congrats, Jackie! For every person who says postcard mailing is a thing of the past, I can point to at least 2 who still get business from them. I'll add you to my list... I have not been taking advantage of the PCard opportunity, but am ramping up to do so. Nice!
Dear Jackie - I just suggested! Congratulations on the success! I blogged about direct mailings a few weeks back as I had found a very reasonable printer & it is so encouraging to see that it is working for you!! Your prices sound reasonable as well, who did you use?? Kudos & thanks for sharing the results!! I hope that others see also & it gets featured for you :).
It's certainly affordable and gets your name out there. Congrats!
Every thing - big and small - makes a difference.....
Congratulations Jackie!
I have to do them more often.
They do work!
Jackie, just some of the basic marketing that so many agents have neglected...good for you.
I agree Jackie, I've done that with holiday cards, just as a friendly reminder and yes...it's a great way to keep business going and simply stay connected :)
